Frequently Asked Questions Here are some of the most common questions we get about our work at home opportunity: Q) Is this a year-long contract, or can I quit any time? A) Your IBO agreement is month by month. You can quit at any time. You can either write a letter, email, or fax Ameriplan® that you want to quit. Q) Can I 'test it out' before I join? A) You can attend some of our training calls before you join. Just contact the person who directed you to this site and they will be happy to provide our schedule. Q) Am I required to take out my own taxes or does the company do that? A) You're earnings are reported on the governments 1099 form. If you've ever heard people say that a home based business is a great way to save money on taxes, they were right. You'll want to keep all of your receipts over the year - and we mean EVERY receipt! The nice thing about a home based business is that you can write off so much. Office supplies, your ISP, gas mileage (if we have to mail something at the post office we do all our errands around that and then we can write off all the mileage), long distance, cell phone, etc. So, if you make $50,000 this year in your business and your receipts total $5,000 you have a gain of $45,000 and that is what you pay taxes on. Q) Why do I have to pay to work for Ameriplan® ? A) You should never pay someone to work for them. If you're talking about a "job" over the internet you should never pay anyone - otherwise it is a scam. We can't think of any home based business that does not have a start up costs. A "business" is different then a "job" on the internet. Here are the differences: 1) You are not paid on a W2 form because you are not an employee. You are paid on the 1099 form as an independent contractor. The 1099 form allows you to save a lot of on your taxes through itemizing your business expenses. 2) You actually own the business. You can will it to your spouse or your children. It's something that you actually own. 3) We think of it this way: If you wanted to open up a bakery in your town you'd have certain costs associated with that business. You'd have no 'name' established for yourself, you'd have to probably use some sort of software to maintain your 'backoffice' so you can keep track of employees, and you might even buy server space so you can host a website for your business. All of these expenses add up. If you wanted to open up a McDonald's (or some other franchise that has a 'name' associated with it) you'd pay thousands of dollars in franchise fees a year. With Ameriplan® you get your websites, training, a paperless office because Ameriplan® takes care of all of that for you. All of this is handled for you for just $50 a month. 4) We do have a basic IBO kit that is sent to you. This kit helps you set up your entire home office with the supplies you need to get started. The kit is a one time cost of $ 45 and is paid when you get started. It includes some brochures and DVDs to help you get started and includes $ 50 in certificates that you can use for additional supplies if you'd like. I'm sure you can see that in any business you'd have to do some sort of set up to get started. Q) How is the $50/monthly business overhead paid? A) You can either have the fee drafted from a credit/debit card or from a checking/savings account. Once you start receiving paychecks Ameriplan® will deduct the fee from you paycheck and you'll never see the fee again. Ameriplan® drafts the fee on either the 3rd or the 18th of every month. You can choose when the drafting will occur. Q) I don't need the dental, vision, prescription & chiropractic programs, can I pay less a month and not get them? A) No. Even if you never use these programs, you still get them. Q) Besides the $50/monthly business overhead, and the one-time cost of $ 45 for the kit, are there any other costs? A) You may have advertising costs but this can be tailored to fit any budget. We recommend you start out with free or very inexpensive forms and as you start to earn money with the company, you can reinvest in other advertising options if you choose. Q) I took a look at the providers in my area. Since there are not many providers here, would I still be able to do this business? (http://providersearch.ameriplanusa.com) A) We do add providers to our list all the time. However, if there are not many providers in your area perhaps a "national business" using the internet would work better than a "local business." People with limited provider bases often advertise on-line. You could also just focus on being a recruiter for the company instead of working benefit memberships. Q) Are there any guarantees? A) We can not guarantee that you will be successful in this business....but...if you consistently work this business 10-15 hours a week and follow the guidelines from our training you should be successful. Q) I'm ready to get started. What do I do next? A) Get back with the person who directed you to this site and they can either take down your application over the phone or you can enroll directly on their website. |
